Im 100% sure the time signatures will be there. Think all the eastern countries were odds are more than common. And those countries combined, it's pretty big market to lose.

i wish AKAI let us decide which features we want to spend CPU time on
i mean, i have no interest whatsoever in plug-ins but i do like clip programs and (better) time-stretch
so i suspect AKAI restricting these features to reserve CPU power on power-hungry plug-ins etc

Not on Beta 3. That’s a pretty big bug.

It’s not even in project defaults anymore.

Go fill out the beta report form and let AKAI know. That's what it is for.

Cannibalization ? As if an on-screen clip matrix was ergonomically comparable to the Force's ? As if the Force wasn't a dead-end in Akai product development, never followed up ?

Yeah MIDI clips would be great -- I basically just want all the features of BeatMaker 3 in the MPC and we got macros now so I need to move onto hoping for the next thing

you need to keep both devices somewhat different, if you introduce clips to the MPC line, you basically have the same product. One will display clips in horizontal fashion the other in vertical - at this point it will be up to visuals and hands on controls. Is force a dead end ? who knows ? I know the force folks have big reasons to feel being left out but lets face it - you have no idea what are they cooking in r&d and you have no idea what next update will bring. :)
