I'm looking to buy an MPC One + in the next week or so and want to use an SD card as I will be using the USB sockets for other things.

I'm trying to choose an SD card but I don't know how much speed will effect it's use, especially with streaming samples, etc.

Does the MPC One + have a maximum read speed, will I be wasting my money buying a really fast SD card, what is practical and best type and speed to get.

I'm not even sure about reasonable size.
From what I gather you are best to save everything to an SD card or SSD as the internal memory is not accessible to attached PCs etc, but I don't know how much space is required to save projects and all the stuff I may want to save on my PC.

With that in mind.

How fast and what class of SD card should I get?

What kind of size would you recommend?

Are there any pitfalls I should be wary of?

128gd/ around $12-$20 dollars.

Streaming available only on Force and MPC Key37.

DO NOT DELETE anything on the internal ssd.

Use SD and or usb thumb drive for all samples, expansions, storage, etc.

There are plenty detailed all throughout the forum.
Biggest pitfall, not reading and following the manual.
Start now, and go through it again when your hands are on the buttons.
