You are all freaking out guys.
Akai will just show their new MPC3, spraying insecticides to temporary crush the bugs during Namm.
Linn will bless the new MPCs, then everyone will go for a beer at the Bar, talking about how MPC is back on track after many years of updating after updating.
I am not sure who will clean the crushed bugs from Akai tables, though.

Exactly.
He is the Patriarch of Mpc.
Akai needs his blessing.

tbh I don't give a shit what they do at NAMM.
Midi note off bug has pretty much killed them dead for me.
Probably get rid of the One & the X soon, thus ending a personal history going back to 1985.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news; but that blasted MPC Live mini rumour is resurfacing again, this time from a dude posting on the Elektron forums who goes by the name of monsterism; this is what he says:

Product specialist Andy Mac’s opening for Akai at NAMM definitely means a new product announcement. My bet is a smaller, more intuitive version of the MPC and basically a direct competition with the Move. It will likely beat the Move in sampling capabilities and offer more channels but it won’t be as intuitive (because let’s face it, you can’t beat the Move on this aspect) and offer less memory. The latter remark comes from an audio engineer who got to play a bit with the new machine.

Time will tell; dont shoot the messanger; pure speculation that I like to entertain, as I did with the MPC 3.0, which was eventually proven true.
