And why would they purposely eliminate that huge source of sales?

Because They Have a Huge amount Future Sales with 3.4. They've already made the sales of Plugins/FX with 2.0. 3.4 needs the Support now. Not the 2.15. NI will probably only work with 3.0 anyway(I'm just guessing)

In MPC 2.15.1 is was possible to assign independent outputs to the Submix busses and send/returns buses. This flexibility was removed in MPC 3 beta. Can anyone confirm that MPC 3.4.1 brings this flexibility back?

You can route submixes and returns to any physical output.

Is this what you have been asking for?

Thanks so much, and yes. (I use an audio interface with my MPC, that has outboard gear attached to it's I/O-so this is a must for me).

Does anybody has used this version with a class compliant audio interface ? I am experiencing problems with Tascam Model 12. After a few seconds it switches back to internal mode.

BTW I already downgraded to 2.15.1 and the problem persists... Still, it seems that 3.4 is the only version with chance of solving this issue.

Regarding new plugins and 2.15.1, I would be very surprised if they continue to support 2.15 users in this respect.

Existing plugins will work (but perhaps not indefinitely, I do wonder what would happen if they at some point dramatically change the activation system  ).

New plugins will almost certainly be 3.x only as (I believe) individual plugin support is hard coded into the firmware, support for any new plugin would require a new 2.15.x release to accommodate it. They are clearly no longer supporting 2.15.x, just not practical for them to try juggling two different ecosystems.

I'm pretty sure if you contact Akai support with a 2.15.1 issue, the initial response is likely 'please first update to the latest 3.4.1 and let me know if that resolves the issue for you'

I recently upgraded to 3.4.1 from 2.15, I’ve never done the beta updates as I wanted to wait for the final version to come out. I noticed very quickly that my projects wasn’t playing back properly in 3.4.1 I.e tracks that were once muted are playing, in song mode the sequences aren’t syncing up properly (making it sound choppy going from end of verse to hook), instruments are transposed an octave and also sometimes the wrong samples are being triggered.

I downgraded back to 2.15 and all is working and sounding how it should be. Has anyone else had these issues?

I’m working of an MPC live 2.

Thanks in advance

Are you referring to loading an existing MPC2 project into MPC3? Because I don't think MPC2 import is working perfectly so you should raise a support ticket with Akai so it can be reported. Unfortunately this release is no longer a 'beta' in name only, it's still riddled with issues.

I had problems with my Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 on all beta versions, it gave me lots of static through my speakers whenever I played audio. Tried all kinds of stuff; switching audio interfaces back and forth, volume settings, factory reset, different USB port... couldn't get it to work, so I downgraded.

I'm not upgrading until that's fixed, my hardware is useless with MPC3.

Sure.
Older projects get not loaded properly on MPC3.
I had missing tracks, drum tracks loaded without samples, track mutes and assigned qlink settings in project mode both lost.
So I also switched back to 2.15.1.
I guess we'll have to wait months, maybe a year, for a working stable MPC3.

My Roland MX-1 works in MPC 3.4.1, just like it did in 2.15.

What if you save a track separately on MPC & then load it into MPC3?

It seems that it depends on the Audio Interface used then... I hope this get fixed and more devices turn fully compatible as yours.

That sucks. There are a lot of videos with MPC working well with Tascam Model 12. There is another user with MPC Key 61 that report no problems with it.

can anyone explain TRACK MUTE mode to me? I have a live MPC when I load my project the track mute mode is a real hassle.. :hmmm:
