MPC 3.4.1?

Before I upgraded to MPC 3, I made note of the I/O routing of all of the tracks, submixes and returns (I'm using a 32 channel class compliant audio interface).


I can confirm that when I loaded the copied project in MPC 3- The routing was totally off. So luckily because I made note of what it was suppose to be, I made the adjustments and now everything sounds the way it should.

Its three filters with a follower. The tinyest filterbank conceivable. Probably a nice tool but nothing that will cause me updating to 3 or try to update via USB right now.

Why would they make you pay for something they will put in every new unit?

Because other companies have done that for major updates of the OS, since they provide more functionality than what was originally advertised.

According to Kikgen, irrespective of the selection here, there was data being sent out to Google Analytics, in MPC 2.11 at least. Whether this is still the case I don't know, I'm not sure how to test for this, but either way, I cannot find any relevant privacy policy that covers this (only privacy policy covers web site use only). And really they should have a privacy policy to at least explain what info is sent if you do check that box.

Not legal in EU or UK (IMO) unless it's completely anonymised or they have a valid legal reason to store personalised data . If the data is not completely anonymous then they can aggregate with other data they have on you and build quite a profile of you. Either way, lack of privacy policy in relation to it is a massive red flag and make it illegal (I believe).

Are they logging IP address? User ID? Location? Should be listed in a privacy policy.

Notice how it states 'Collect Usage Statistics', not 'Collect Anonymous Usage Statistics'. May not mean anything, but who knows without a privacy policy.

Some possibilites:
Which screens are used the most often?
Tend users towards Akai or Air plugins?
How many channels do the external audio interfaces have?

I think I could come up with many more if I assume the statistics are for the product manager to decide where to direct the programmers to.

I remember everyone being up in arms when (at the time) Propellerhead - now Reason Studios - started collecting usage statistics with Reason 8 or 9 (honestly can't remember which version it was). Similar reaction among the users happened, but... then everyone forgot. They're based out of Sweden and part of the EU, so the same privacy laws applied to them I'm sure.
