Double triggering pads

pressure sensors are quite difficult to Quality Control. it really does vary from unit to unit, especially if they are using cheap parts.

Hi, These parameters are a very good point to start with. My treshold and sensitivity were setup too sensitive by far.

So I’ve recently purchased a brand new Akai MPC One +. It works fine in stand alone mode, but when I switch it to controller mode that when all the pads double trigger. Pad 1 sets off pad together. Pad 2 sets off pad 2 together. Pad 3 sets off pad 7 together. Pad 6 sets off pad 3 together, pad 7 sets off pad 11 together, pad 8 sets off pad 9 together, pad 9 sets off pad 13 together, pad 10 sets off pad 12 together, pad 11 sets off pad together, pad 1 2 sets off pad 8 together, pad 13 sets off pad 14 together, pad 15 sets off pad 16 together. I’ve read a lot people having pad issues. Anyone have these many pads going off together? Can anyone help me please?

It’s happening to me as well. What did you end up figuring out?

Make sure you are running the latest 2.14 firmware and mpc software, including the latest hardware driver for your specific unit and reboot. Also try a different usb cable

I’m having the same issue with a key37. Is there a resolution? I’m getting ready to return the unit.

I kinda learned a trick that works for me but may not work for others, when my mpc starts doing this i grab the pads and pull outward on them lightly to try to reseat them and it generally works. i think from all the inward banging they just kinda get smushed in and end up firing off twice. saves me from opening the machine though.

A trick i learned is to place your mpc in the oven for 23mins at 451 degrees.


Then dust off your maschine and get crackin, son.

This is how I had also improved my situation alot.
My "Pad 2" was double triggering alot and sometimes got "stuck".
I am not sure if the case is fitted too tightly to the pads or what is the underlying issue..
Another annoying quality issue with Nukai, much worse on MPC Live 2 than my any previous MPC (2.5k, 1k, 2k).

I’m new to this group but I just thought a live 2 and it was double triggering to the point it was unusable for how I use the device, I’m coming off of an mpc touch so I thought using the live would be a dream! Well I got frustrated quickly then had a thought. For everyone who is double triggering check your disk space and if you have an internal added hdd make sure it’s a ssd! I had a 500g data hdd already in mine and the slow disk speed was causing the double triggers since putting in my ssd I haven’t had the issue and hopefully it stays away. Just thought I would share that in hopes it helps out someone who was as frustrated and disappointed as me after dropping a band on the thing!

Friends, for me the complete solution of this problem was impressingly simple as stated in a reddit post, just make sure, ur MPC stays flat on the ground /table and not in any way put up on anything (in my case, a small box, 3cm below the top end) to make it more usable. It's a pitty and I don't like the fact that I have to use it flat but the double trigger problem does not exist anymore. Adjusting sens. and that stuff helped nothing.

and I will now try a very solid looking stand with not a single chance of bouncing the MPC (the paper box did not look like it does in any way bounce but seems to be the case in a very sensible way), I'll report...
