This just my Theory...So don't get your panties in a Bunch...

I believe this new Product will be....

AKAI Force Key(w/Battery)

With a small 3 Octave Keybed

Every Other Akai Product has Two Versions of itself EXCEPT for the FORCE!

X....Two Versions
Live....Two Versions
One....Two Versions
Key....Two Versions

Stay Tuned....

Key codename is ACVK and suprisingly, if you look into firmware, there's more ACVK stuff too look at than ACVG thingy. ACVG along with ACVC are being kept secret to the point that even their names are (un)conveniently ommited

Ok Here We Go....I'm changing my Theory Yet Again lol

ACVG will Most Likely be a Controller. Bcz I don't see a Hard Drive Panel on the bottom. 2nd...the MPC Studio MKII Code word is ACVF

So with that being said...I'm going to Nominate the ACVG a MPC Studio MK3. Designed to be Integrated with MPC 3.xx Software.

Bottom Panel Looks Damn Near Identical.

Brace yourself for a little dissapointment
Documents say that this device was tested by launching some test app on the device after connecting to it via PUTTY 6.3 app.
Putty is a terminal emulator which usually is used to connect with Linux/Windows Host, therefore since this device is running it's own operating system, most likely it's more than just a dumb controller as running linux on something that is just a controller would be a huge overkill and waste of resources.
You have one more try before we move to another contestant

There's no reason for a simple controller to have Wi-Fi, BLE, or a battery. It also wouldn't require a 19V power brick.

On the other hand, it wouldn't be a such bad idea to launch something like this along with a new 3.4 update. Obviously you need to use some imagination to spice it up as it's just an AI after one prompt without reiteration.

Did u also say this new device has a built-in mic? as I saw no reference to the built in mic when I had a scan through the docs.

it actually looks better than any recent design from akai imo... :(

(despite not being logical)

why presume any new hardware is gimmicky? maybe the income from the new hardware will give them more budget for devlopment of the software.

in my opinion...That's why Akai has all these Fire Sales! To gather up some quick revenue to fund new Product and New Software Support
