One can create complete music with modern (and already released) mpc, one of my homies tracked complete rnb song on his live1 - track by track using only live1 and mic preamp, all mixed inside in the box - for example - and it sounded really good.
80% of dudes crying for more ram/cpu/storage/plugins etc are not using theirs tools to max, why You want more? just to showoff on reedit to other gear wankers ?
New mpc will not be a gamechanger, maybe it will be an little evolution to the akai/inmusic line of products.
If it will be me to decide about new mpc i will make it smaller remake of 2000xl/2500 - with smaller oled screen like on 404mk2, simple os with basic functionality with modern storage functions - and release it as boutique product but i doubt the retail success of this idea.
Well, it's true that what we have can be enough to make our music, but a new MPC with more Ram would allow more complex plugins, that's it.
It was good to have 4gb Ram computers back in the days, but now with 32gb Ram computers we can use better sounding eqs and comps, for example.
I am still not sure if Ram has to do with the power of effects, or is it just cpu?
I think more Ram helps anyway.
So, that's the only point about a new Mpc.
If it has more Ram, it's a good step forward.
If it has bells and whistles and crossfades and internal shitty speakers, it's just stuff for jugglers.
