Hello everyone, I would like to use the sequencer of my MPC one to play midi instruments in Ableton. I have 16 tracks with different instruments in Ableton, each track has a different midi channel, track 1 midi channel 1, track 2 midi channel 2 Etc. I would like to assign a :Sigh: different midi channel to each pad of the MPC one as I do with my MPD 218 controller. I saw that by pressing the "shift" button and "midi control" a window opened where I could assign different midi channels to different pads... But when I return to the sequencer, the assignments are not saved. Thanks everyone

i think MPC assigns midi channels per track, not per pad (afaik). the individual pads for any given track are assigned a discrete midi note value (but until the midi note off bug is fixed - ha ha - that note value on one track will choke off the same note value on any other midi channel/track)

MPC's MIDI Control mode turns it into a dumb MIDI controller, separate from its main sequencer and sampler functions. In its normal mode, pads can't be set to different MIDI channels.

Thank you, it's a shame there isn't such a function on the MPC. With the MPD 218 each pad is assigned to a midi track which contains a Simpler in Ableton. It's really huge... I have one track per pad! Thanks again for these answers, very clear.
