Any plans for audio over USB to DAW?

I had no idea controller mode was such a smooth experience. i thought it would be more like a midi controller but nope, its dope. i keep my MPC with my hardware still, just now opened ableton on my computer and send that audio back into my mixer while i am working and it is perfect. although, for people who dont want to use the MPC plugin, it would still be helpful for it to be able to multitrack audio over USB. Elektron does it with overbridge, surprised the MPC cant do it

Yes controller mode is okay but once u get into your daw other than abelton it's game over just plugins to mpc just a hassle I hate it but will work with the template or just export into my DAW and just finish there I was looking to complete mix on my DAW with my mackie mcu and expanders don't plan to sell at the moment.. hate to have a MPC X 2 to do what I want and pay another grip but looks like the case.. another box saved lol...

Audio IN won‘t work when used as a plugin, since virtual instruments only have MIDI IN and audio OUT. I prefer using MPC Software „standalone app“ and syncing it to a DAW. That way you can do anything you need without any hassle. As a plugin, you need to send MIDI via DAW and also record your samples there before using it in MPC Software.

I've done it with reaper / linux / compiling a RT Kernel for my computer and a buncha elbow grease into a custom rom. It's not that great. After grinding to make it work it kinda dawned on me the easier way to do this process is to bounce your stems and import them into your daw over usb in controller mode.

The idea of using the mpc as a modular source device within a daw is a wicked concept but in practice not that great. It doesnt have enough jam to make it work well.

Are there any changes regarding audio over usb? Does it work/will it work eventually?

My 2c is that this will be one of the major features on the upcoming hardware refresh.

According to posters on this thread, iConnectivity audio interfaces can be used to route audio between two host computers, and it works for routing audio over USB between a standalone MPC and a PC/Mac computer. And that has been a working solution since at least 2022 already, based on when the posts in this thread were made.
