Oh boi am I bummed right now... The good thing is that the 3.6 firmware actually made even the Live 1 snappier.

- But still no program changes per track per sequence...

- Still program changes are seen as automation in List Edit, meaning there will always be the unremovable program change added at 0...

- I still cannot hold notes over sequence changes... If I hold a chord it will cut out when the sequence changes.

Regarding the last one. How the heck are you all able to live with it? Do you never have notes overlapping sequences, or why is this not raged about more? :WTF:

In MPC3, it seems the ability to change track settings (such as length or MIDI Program Change) per sequence has been removed. As for track length, you can set tracks to any length by switching to the clip matrix workflow.

Yes precisely. And this is super limiting when using the MPC with external gear and using sequences as parts of different songs... I've already left user feedback to Akai about it once again.

The not having program change/sequence is such a shame- its so useful to just select a patch on an external synth from the mpc and have the ability to change patches for different sequences.. I guess il stick with v2 a bit longer!

I'm having no luck even buying this thing at the moment - keep getting an error message ("We regret that your order could not be accepted. We value your business and would like to help you complete this order. Please contact us for assistance.")

At the risk of wanton Akai-bashing, it seems amusing that they can't even iron out a bug in the purchasing system when they release a new product!

As is often the case, Akai forget to disable the MPCSAVE10 on certain offers, so I assume that initially the code worked, then Akai realised the mistake and disabled it.

Ironically if you try to leave the checkout page it offers you a 10% off deal, but it's still the MPCSAVE10 code and it doesn't work.

Is there a way to automate program changes? This could be a nice workaround for that problem.

Sort of, but it is also broken... See my previous post:

It means that no matter what, you will have at least 2 program changes when trying to workaround this issue using List View. Depending on your gear, but it will most likely be an issue. Even though you set the first program change to the currently playing program, your synths/drum machines likely will reset the currently playing program. Meaning cutting out reverbs/delays abruptly.

Worked for me - purchased for €89.99

My dream has been fulfilled: clip matrix on my MPC One - I don't even care about the rest of the Pro Pack, I'm just happy like a kid on Christmas !

I finally managed to purchase it... by buying it as a gift to myself from my work email address. Weird, but it's shown up in my account and working on my Live mk1.
