Hackers put Mouse Support on the MPC!

The OS is same as Akai’s, but with the added SSH & Mouse support.

is this posible for the 3.7 firmware , i saw this once .. but was for the 2x versions i guess

Make sure the image is fully downloaded and copied to the drive and that the drive is properly ejected from the host computer. Also, this is tested only on Force and MPC Live (Gen 1 aka NOT Live 3) - if you have some other device, like the Key 61, your mileage may vary a lot.

Just making sure as folks are using the firmware and reporting that everything's ok. : )

Wish Akai would add this option to the official firmware!

There actually is a proper desktop mouse in the MPC OS, it's just disabled on official releases as it's a debug tool. Folks on this forum discovered it when enabling the dev mode.

It contains a list of pre-calculated large prime numbers that are used for SSH key exchange.

it would be good if these hackers can do something useful and hack 2.15 to add elements of 3.7 such as the new mixer and arranger to 2.x,

These are Force hackers. Somethings just happen to carry over. The MPC hackers would have a better chance at this.
