All good now.

Deleted Delay Pro folder from installed sata, synth folder. Logged out of hardware. Reset Prefs. Reboot. Activated Delay Pro again, all good now.

New large piece of hardware - acquired. Still setting it up. Got it yesterday, have already created a few beats on it.

The Keys 61 will be retired, probably the iridium will go in its place, and something else from the keyboard library will go on top.

There's a small unlabeled bag of four small screws included, but no mention in any of the packaging/papers/quickstart what they are for - anyone know?

Nice setup.. the small bag of screws keep them when you want to install internal ssd drive.. not sure if you thought about getting a 3 tier stand to put all 3 pieces of gear on..

I really like how the XL looks. I know thats not a common opinion but how can you look at that and not want to start pushing buttons and twisting knobs lol

Enjoy and congrats!

I'm starting to warm up to the look of it, but still, reading all the bugs, it seems a bit buggy.
I still don't like the lack of support for the screen, I'd rather not have a kick stand, but between this and the TR-1000.

Both seem decent but I do worry about getting tied to current Akai again.
I heard there were some kind of delay between patterns? is this true because when I had an X in 2.xx I didn't notice it a ton.

Is this really a selling point? Being able to make a beat in 3 minutes? I guess that is a trendy thing in beat making videos but this seems a bit backwards considering how feature rich this kit is. I thought it was suppose to be for the professional and serious beat maker lol

My guess is they aren’t selling units like they thought

to some it sure is. read the comments below the video. they talk of andy mac like he is some kind of magician.

i dont mean that offensive, but i think his presets beats are trash.

but i do think it works and sells to some people..

its just marketing mate. we have all seen how powerful this machine is over older variants. now its time to have fun with it.

majority of people watching those videos already know about the Xl, and they know how good andy mac is at beat making. i do think its silly to ask andy mac to do a beat in 3 minutes, when he can do this in under 2! maybe get some bloke off the street and show them the workflow and have them get on with it to make sense.

some folks finger drum -- that is something i have nodiesre to do. its a flex. i saw arabmusic at the inmusic both and it was like that dude was in a trance -- i was impressed with his finger drumming skills.. there is a demographic of folks who do this on these machines. one of the guys who performed on that stage told me hes been finger drumming for 17 years!!! i had no idea.

anyway,. inmusic want to market this to all demos out there - they are in the business to make a profit. there's lots of features ill likely not use on the xl and thats ok -- I got it mostly for the upgraded hardware.

To call someone trash means you have something to offer different in the means of musical creativity.. Andy is a professional keyboard player and has done work in the industry..also is skilled user of the MPC and more.. to call his music is trash..as if you could go up in front of akai and musicexecutives and artist, plus general public and play.. maybe you are all above but to call his creativity trash is not a good look..

I wouldn't say all alot of them are showing how and what features.. if you buy a car are you listening to the salesman or are you researching the car your buying and test driving it?
