Cool. Maybe even using a different format all together. Like instead of a list, we have the FX type & 16 FX across the pads banks & we just tap the pad/screen & each pad can have a little icon showing a basic illustration of what the FX will do to the sound wave.

It would be cool each FX also had a "more info" icon that broke down each FX & what it's good for with simple examples like this site did based on the built-in FX:

we pretty much got every FX plugin along with a good range of instrument sounds, so i guess granular synths, wavetables & physical models should get some shine since they are lacking to some degree.
Everything else is represented in some shape or form, but Xpand 2 needs to come to standalone, gen 2 power will bring alot to the table for this 3.x software, we know that AI is incoming, virtual muscians built in.

Those are things I voted for!
All these should also be added as track types.

So far they are only extending the range of instruments with Spitfire's orchestral plugins.

I’ve gotten really excited about this collaboration with Spitfire Audio. In my opinion, this is a genuine step forward for the MPC ecosystem and the standalone groovebox world as a whole. Spitfire’s string and orchestral libraries are extremely high-quality and expressive, and hearing that kind of sound coming directly from an MPC is genuinely inspiring.

I also think this move could make the MPC platform even more versatile and experimental, and potentially broaden its user base. MPCs have traditionally been especially popular in hip-hop, trap, and pop production, which is great, but collaborations like this could also attract composers, film and game scorers, and more cinematic or experimental musicians who may not have seriously considered MPC hardware before. That’s very much my territory.

If Akai really leans into this direction, it feels like a smart and exciting evolution of the platform.

Now the big question… when are the first plugins dropping? It was announced over a month ago already... come on guys, I’m getting impatient! Haha

From the post about the survey, it seems like Akai plans on dropping a lot more plugins in the future based on our demands. Hopefully, we see something new/major in next month in March when we get the 30% discount, which also the start of Spring sales.

I wonder if it will be a bundle which would nice.. Hopefully they are working something we will like..

Bring on midi fx so MPC can be an alternative to something like a Hapax or midi fx in daws.

I would like to see cv playground expanded to midi as a starting point.

I would think so too, and I hope is going to be like that. Not many music instrument companies are taking this direction .. Exciting!

I haven’t been raving about the Iona plugin because I’m too busy enjoying it! It’s working into my acid house set nicely. I can leave the Behringer hardware at home and it has memory. I agree on the price.. I waited until I had enough discount that it awake $41. The current price is about $50 off of the Behringer MS1 , so you can get a physical 101 emulation for essentially the same price.
