Interesting. Should improve cross-platform compatibility between MPC Sample and the rest of the line-up. Release Notes have not yet been updated as of the time of this posting.

Key Features
New Effects Added
MPC now ships with five new effects from MPC Sample:
• Color Compressor – Adds character and punch while controlling dynamics, inspired by
classic hardware compression.
• Trigger FX – A performance-focused multi-effect that can be triggered for stutter, filter,
delay, and other creative effects.
• Vintage – Adds warmth, saturation, and lo-fi character to emulate the sound of classic
hardware samplers.
• Vinyl Emulation – Recreates the sound of vinyl records, including noise, dust, wobble,
and age-related character.
• Tape Emulation - Recreates the sound of tape machines, including wow, noise and
pitch.
Activation: Go to Preferences > Activations to download these effects before using them.
Once downloaded, the new effects are available in the Effects Browser and can be used on
inserts, submixes, or the master channel.
Export as MPC Sample File
From MPC you can now export a drum track directly as an MPC Sample File from both the
desktop software and standalone MPC hardware.
From MPC Desktop Software
1. Go to File
2. Select Export
3. Choose As MPC Sample File
From Standalone MPC / Force
1. On a Drum Track, open the Mode Menu
2. Select Save
3. From the selector choose Save Drum Track As MPC Sample File
This allows drum tracks to be quickly saved and transferred as MPC Sample Files for use across
MPC systems.
MPC desktop and standalone can now load MPC Sample projects.
Bug Fixes
Arrange
• Unquantized clips are no longer quantized automatically when recording a clip into
Arrangement.
CV Tracks
• Advanced CV routing is now per track rather than global.
• Duplicating or copying a CV track no longer causes 'settings replaced by Track Edit'
message to appear.
• CV Out now sends correctly when assigning a modifier to any other port.
Edit - Track
• Track and Pad automation is no longer removed from the current drum track when using
Edit Pad MIDI Note Map.
Drum Track Edit
• Changing the sample assigned to a pad no longer gives values for Start and End that can’t
be adjusted correctly with Q-Links.
Mode Menu
• Holding Menu and multiple pads no longer causes rapid mode switching and crashes.
• Shift + Q-Link sensitivity has been refined when changing Current Track value.
MIDI
• Notes will no longer hang when changing current sequence or clip.
• MIDI messages sent via MIDI DIN to MPC Live III and MPC XL are no longer dropped
when using certain third-party devices.
MIDI Tracks
• When inputting values with the Number Pad, the expected Program Change, LSB and
MSB value will now arrive.
Track/Pad Mute
• Track and Pad mutes set with Step buttons now adhere to Track/Pad Mute mode’s TC
setting.
Audio
• Audio I/O no longer fails when MPC XL is controlling MPC Software and the sample
rate is adjusted
Transport
• BBT values now change in steps of 1 when adjusted with the data dial or +/- buttons.
Sample Edit
• BPM Value in Edit Tuning / From BPM dialog now responds to changes after triggering
the sample.
Sampler
• Pad Tap and Pad Hold now function correctly after changing track.
Stems
• Converting slices of a stemmed sample to new samples will no longer cause a Save
failure.
Known Issues
• Sample Edit slices are unavailable in Trim mode until slice linking is toggled.
• Using Copy/Paste in Arrange always pastes to Bar 1 if a clip is still selected.
• Save options can't be selected if Save As dialog is open in the background.
• Sync issues can occur when recording using USB audio into clips in MPC from Ableton
Live while Ableton Link is active.
• A newly created CV Drum track doesn't default to Bank A.
• While performing a search in Browser, scroll position can change repeatedly, particularly
when folders are heavily populated.
• After logging out of inMusic Profile, logging in again can fail until Wi-Fi connection is
reset.
• Track FX Rack Q-Link Mode does not contain Q-Link assignments.
• Ableton Live ALS import has the wrong clip lengths.
• Some audio interfaces cause an error when selected as Audio Device in MPC Standalone
(Focusrite Scarlett 18i20, Apogee ProTools Duet).
• Keygroup Portamento envelopes are always re-triggered.
