I will be probably get it as soon as it comes out. It s the only machine that cured me of my unstopable gas towards an Octatrack

-Tilting screen.
-L3 guts, battery.
-More ins/outs (at least 2 ins).
-Change the button layout or don't have black buttons on a black case as it makes the buttons seem too cluttered. Seeing the custom White Force made me realize this with much clearer the buttons on the left appered.
-Allow the 8 sample layers to have their own amp/filter/pitch ADSR & at least 1 or 2 FXs.
-All of the MPC sample modes like the Tap & Hold sample features or whatever they're called.
-Let us reassign buttons to custom functions, like the +/- buttons to change pad banks/octaves.
-More emulations of famous filters in the drum program.
-More FX slots & a FX favorite list.
-Copy & pasting of text & use the pads to store custom text, like 1 pad= Kick, p2=Snare, p3=current date, as that's how I name my projects before I add a more descriptive name.
-Let the crossfader change parameters like the touchstrip on the L3/XL.
-A better way of managing the Macros.
-Using Edit All for the DrumFX.

At least make the buttons on the left a lighter color, same with the 8 Launch buttons on the right, tho I don't mind that as much as they all do the same thing. Also, the 8 Track buttons should be on the top of the drum pads as that's the way it is on the matrix screen & we wouldn't hit as much by mistake - I know there's an option to help with that so that we have to hold the track buttons before it changes but that slows shit down.

Wouldn't the economically optimal architecture be single a stereo pair main output as a fallback, considering just about everyone will add an USB audio interface - big or small, to fit their requirements ?

I agree. Better USB, not more outs. If you need more outs, USB will get you there - and you can add whatever external gear you require to get you 16 outs, or whatever.

If you're taking it as an all-in-one box, then you don't need more outs anyway, you're using its internal mixer including more submixes than most hardware mixers will offer you, you're just dragging it along to the venue and plugging it in to the front of house.

Mouse support would make a much bigger difference.

I don’t use USB but I’d like to be able to track out more than two channels. Am I weird nowadays?

It's not about weirdness.

If you're trying to manage tracks, the Force by default will give you a powerful, flexible internal mixer with detailed control capabilities. By itself, standalone, it does a fine job.

If you want to hook it up to other stuff in a studio context, there's a plethora of ways to do so in general, so you start down a rabbithole of which things you're adding. RCA? 1/8"? 1/4"? Balanced? Line level? Phantom power? 5 pin DIN? and so on and so forth.

USB has the virtue that it lets you expand a static, studio master installation into whatever you want with controllers, audio interfaces, or even a computer keyboard for typing.

If one is trying to keep the cost under control, while still offering the best capabilities, then from a product design perspective adding a row of additional outputs has less utility than going deep on really high speed, capable USB. Would a typical Force user be able to afford an outboard audio interface? Yes.

If you look at it as a product design question, it practically answers itself.
