I'm just checking there is nothing wrong with my new XL. I tried connecting my phone via USB-C (my phone came out in Nov 2024) and I can't get it to work. I have gone through some online A.I. de-bugging using the phone developer suggestions and it still won't work. When it is connected correctly, is it via the 'file transfer' tab and is the USB connection controlled by 'the connected device' (the XL) or 'this device' (Blackview 8C)? When I bought the phone (which was only £75 from Amazon) I didn't realise it has a cut-down version of Android OS 14. Maybe this is the problem?
The phone audio out works finr when connected through the analogue inputs, but the RCA jacks are a little hot and the phone's output has to be turned to the minimum.
Anybody?

Wuddup.

A friend was here yesterday, he had an Android (don’t know OS or version or any of that) and I tried connecting it to my XL via usb-c so that I could sample audio from it.
Nothing.
I have NEVER had a problem when connecting ipad to XL w/ usb-c for sampling or controller apps.

After he left, I connected my ipad, audio instantly started and controller apps worked flawlessly!?

He later recognized he had a setting enabled where no other device can connect to his android (again, IDK what setting he found).

Exactly. I was just pointing out the topic to search for whoever need this info. Usually on Androids when you plug in a USB a icon will pop up on the top of phone & if slide down the main menu you can access the setting for what the connected device will be able to do. I would check there.
