does anybody know if there is a way to convert a stereo sample into a mono sample using the MPC Sample? Unfortunately you can't Resample L or R, you can only Resample in stereo as far as I can tell. any ideas?

If you have a 1/4" to 1/4" cable (and it doesn't need to be stereo) you can do a workaround.

1) Record a sequence with the sample that you want to convert. Make sure you keep this sequence selected.
2) Plug the cable into the side of the output with the audio you want.
3) Plug the other end into one of the inputs.
4) Press "Sample Record". TURN MONITOR OFF!! Otherwise you'll get feedback. Select "Rear L" or "Rear R" depending on which side you have the cable plugged into.
5) Start recording on a pad and play the sequence. Stop recording when u have what you need.

Guitar pedal patch cables are the perfect length for this and easy to get from your local music store.

Any time I want to do this for any reason, I just bring the audio files over to the computer & use batch file convert on Cool Edit (any basic Audacity style editing software should have this feature somewhere I imagine.) Then just move the files back to the MPC disc storage & overwrite the original stereo files.

(I use a 1K, but this should work for any MPC in theory)
