Dodgey Pad Advice...pull off the grey?

I've got a couple of dodgey pads on my 2kxl...I have been given advice on these boards to open the MPC and align the ribbons...I want to do this ASAP, but before I do...I really want to be clear on what I have to do..

If I open the MPC and pull off the grey padding .... will I be able to see these ribbons clearly?....is there anything I got to be careful of??

I know im just being paro but I dont wanna fuk shitt up

send it a akai authorised service centre and let them deal with it cause u dont want to sheg your mpc....its not all things we should have to do just to save dough.
