I just got the Motif Rack. I can record a sound pattern to a track , but when i change tracks. the sound follows.. How can i make each track a different sound. For Example. If i were to lay hit hats from the rack on track 1 , when i go to track 2 and load a kicks .. Track 1 becomes kicks. Please let me know. Thanks. Id Appreciate it.

Shalom,

Set your Motif to Multi and assign your sound to a channel wither it's A or B, and on the MPC set the track to the same midi channel of your Motif so when it obtains the midi channel it will play that exact channel.

Example: Motif "Strings" Midi 01A sends to MPC Track 01. You have up to 16 channels for the A&B on the MPC. This will allow you to set your sounds to the MPC tracks and send multi sounds from the Motif with out it following changes.

Consult your Motif manual and look up Multi Midi settings.

You should be able to save your user presets on the motif so when you start back on whatever sounds you used they will pull up in whatever presets you saved it under.

Hope this helps.

Also , go in under your midi parameters and enable program change. I got a trition, but I'm sure it has the same setting adjustments
