exporting while keeping drum sounds from mpc

My problem is.... I use the MPC2000xl to make my beats. I use different tracks for every part of the drum loop(ex. track01-hats, track02-snare) I use pro tools for my recordings. How can I export the sequences or tracks to pro tools while maintaining the drum sounds i used for the loop as well as the loop showing up as different tracks in pro tools (ex. track01-hats, track02-snare) so I can manipulate the individual sounds of the loop in pro tools. Does anyone no the answer to this.

Record it with DigiDesign interface or get your seq/sounds on a disc and put them on your computer.

are you trying to track in pro tools?
are you trying to record each channel from the mpc's sequence in to PT ?..kick ,snare,hat,sample etc?

Yes. I am tring to track in pro tools. The seperate channels of the sequence(ex. hat, snare, kick) I tried exporting the midi file sequence into protools but it was only the triggers from the mpc not the specific drum sounds I had in the mpc. How do I export the seperate channels of the sequence as well as the drum sounds I am using in the mpc so that pro tools recognizes the drum sounds i am hearing in the mpc. I am using an Iomega 100mb usb zip drive for my importing and exporting of sounds.

yea the reason you werent hearing the direct audio from the channels in your mpc sequence is because MIDI IS NOT AUDIO
midi is just a conversation between 2 devices
you would use midi to speak to another device sound module/vst plugin's/ midi is like a remote control in a way it does not produce audio

but as far recording in to pro tools which interface do you have ? M-BOX? DIGI001? DIGI 002? im not familiar with the specs on each but if one of them as a AUDIO INPUT which im pretty sure does u will need a audio wire from the output on your MPC to the input on your INTERFACE and record in to PRO TOOLS as you would record audio just MUTE EACH INDIVIDUAL CHANNEL on the mpc and record one buy one if there short loops that repeat the same pattern just record each loop ,kick ,snare,sample,sample2 ,instruments etc 1 BY ONE

You know MIDI is just the triggering right? Like I said, along with your midi files, you need the sounds.

I have the digi002. I have already been muting the individual tracks and recording it that way. I was hoping their was another way to do it. I know that midi isn't audio, i just don't have a vst instrument that has the quality of the samples i am using in the mpc. By the way. I really liked the tracks you made on soundclick.com.

yea you would need a soundcard with more inputs in order to record every channel in to the project at the same time
