Swapped 100 zip for 250 but MPC says NO FLOPPY FOUND..Ideas?

I had a 100 zip installed in the 2kxl and just put in a 250...all seems hooked up right as I am pretty familiar with installing drives but the MPC is not recognizing it. Any ideas why this might be? It is a **** to unscrew the entire thing and try to start over which I dont see would/should be necessary...the jumper was in the right spot and the device accepts and ejects disks, but the MPC just won't read them. Any help is greatly appreciated. Peace, BsK

I heard that this may be an OS issue...but a) how do you tell what OS you are running? and b) how do you install a new OS? I linked from the tutorial to the site and it is a broken link for OS 1.14. Does this have anyhitng to do with my problem? Thanks.

I ran into the same problem and I re-installed the latest OS with my floppy. Then put back my internal zip 250 and it ran just fine. Here's the link to the newest OS.

Thanks Lamp...is that 1.14 the latest OS version? It seems as if people were on here talking about 1.17? I guess I gotta put in more wokr but as long as it gets done. Peace, BsK
