16 levels question

Hi friends, i know that 16 levels button put on each pad a variation of a sample (tunning, decay, attack...) but when i want edit that "effect" in a sequence for example a decay in a snare, how could i do it? i think that it must be on STEP screen, but i would like to know if there is other way. Thank you

bang out the sequence with 16 levels turned on.

When you are done recording the sequence, turn off 16 levels, and play it back.

It will save the 16-levelled snare or whatever within the sequence you recorded.

ok i understand that it will save the sequence but i would like to know how i could simulated a snare decay with timming:1/32? i want to say if only this can be possbile with step screen because i think that it´s impossible record it this decay in a real time wiht the pads. other question could i change the long of the tap tempo/note repeat not only with the timming?
