Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By otwofootro Sun Apr 24, 2005 8:19 pm
Does anyone know why my MPC files (.APS, .SND, even .WAV) doesnt register on my 2000? I'm using Nero on my computer running XP and when I put it in my SCSI CD-rom connected to my 2000 the contents comes up "?????????"
Also, (i know its a little off subject, but bear with me) I can't get my computer to detect my SCSI HD. Its an old HD (with CSC on the enclosure) and i cant get it to detect...wrong drivers??

Thanks, I'm expreienceing a zip drive meltdown and I am doing all I can to save my old work.

DAMN ! SCSI & ZIP!

OK READ CARE FULLY! U WILL SEE ThiS ONCE

When u burn in NERO choose ISO with only 8 Char Length Settings cause the MPC2000 Only reads 8 Chars long. I think its Joilet or something like that. Experiment a bit till i can get the right settings for u.
Or do a search and find out the correct format the disc must be in.

for the HDD go to www.driverguide.com
(u will need this-> user:drivers pass:all)
get the scsi drivers here.

Another thing,

You can NOT make an iso formatted cd (the format you can read on a pc) and read it on the MPC2000, for an MPC2000 to read CDROMS they have to be AKAI formatted. See the useful links thread in the newbie forum on how to make an AKAI formatted CD.
