what do you guys record with

does anybody just finish their tracks on the 4000 and burn it on their cd recorder on the 4000 without recording onto another piece of equipment or computer.

Or, do you all just record onto something like dat or pro tools and mix all your tracks?

I record off all my gear straight to my Yamaha AW16G. 600 bucks I dropped on it, it does phantom power, has good effect/dynamics/EQ abilities, levels are great and I can record 8 tracks at a time. Occasionally I'll burn my tracks as wavs to CD for mastering on PC when I want to do something I can't accomplish easily on the Yammy.

I use tascam dm24,motu 2408mkii, and g4 with cubase 5.1.

pt is sounds awesome, what you put in is on you. to me pthd is the next 2inch tape on steriods. still a couple of years from that benchmark though. cheers
