mpc 60 syncing w/ cubase once it is halfway across bar

I got my mpc to sync w/ cubase except that now it is syncing once line is half way across the sequencer...? So cubase starts recording and the vertical line is halfway through the first bar then it starts receiving the mpc sounds.

Do you add a sync bar or two for midi lag?

What I do is add an extra step to song mode at the beginning with a 2 bar sequence at the same BPM as my song with a muted kick track on it, so its just silence. That usualy lets them sync up, but it could also be your midi interface and soundcars and drivers, if the above trick doesnt work. DO you have your framerates matched as well?

are you leaving the black bars in front? What soundcard are you using?
