Just wondering..for those of you that do what I do...play virtual instruments over your sequences in the MPC by triggering them from a program (Cubase)...How do you save the MIDI on the program...I figure all of you save the sequence in the MPC but do you also save the MIDI with the VST in your program? Also, how do you use a few VST's and trigger them over the MPC?

......scratch my head a sec..

on all those VSTi's there is a function to save presets, also its good to label all your tracks so u know where and what they are. Label them with short codes like

on the mpc, a midi track using a korg legacy midi sound might be KL-VST-SUBASS..

idi this so i know where i found it so is simple to load up the Korg, the mpc already knows the channel cause its saved in the sequence. so i just find the right channel on the VSTi and volia.

to use more just load more vsti and make sure each sound has its own channel. bare in mind mpc only allows 32 midi channels, however this does not mean ony 32 vsti, u can share channels to but they will play what ever notes u put on there. serious editing skills are needed to work around this.

Yea...but like I have one MIDI VST in Cubase that's my bassline, already saved on my MPC...then when I add another VST and try sequencing in my MPC, whatever VST I'm using now just plays my bassline notes, so I can't sequence both sounds at once, even though in Cubase there's two MIDI tracks opened with two different VST's on 2 different channels.

then u are doing suttin wrong! the channels on mpc and cubase must be the same. but different for each midi vst u use.

I think I know what u are doing, Ive done this with FLStudio. For ex, do a seq on the 1K, 3 tracks-3 different sounds. Save it as a MIDI file. Now when you import it, import the track you want to use for that VST. (hi-hat:trk 1, kick drum: trk 2, bassline: trk 3). http://andregreen.homestead.com/files/Temp/FLMIDI.JPG & http://andregreen.homestead.com/files/Temp/FLMIDI2.JPG
