Customize the text on your 2000XL **PICS**

can someone please re up the template for the mpc2000xl? thx. and what kind of paint are you using? and what method are you painting it?

If you painted it what paint did you use and what process did you undertake?

if my memory serves me correctly, he got it painted at an auto body spot. i could be wrong though.

if you want to make your own films, just find someone with an oversized printer and get some inkjet acetate. peep silk screening sites for more info. it shouldnt cost you 25.

who bit your template??....on your site I seen a 2k classic...D. James has a 2kxl....is that what you mean?

took me 5 minutes to make my own template...... really simple if you know how to work a PDF file in Illustrator.

download the pdf manual from the akai site.

open the page that shows the diagram of the mpc (page 16 in my manual) with Adobe Illustrator.

delete all the little numbered spots that are used to describe the MPC.

then resize it to approximately 11 x 16

all the text is on it and you can change it to what ever you want.

it's that easy...... that's why I posted it for free a few weeks ago.

that ish took me like 4hours to draw in illustrator,he just moved it around in illustrator so it fits on the xl,thats cool, the fact that hes trying to cop some loot burns me up.

I am not sure...but I don't think he is making money off it....he is basically providing the film which I guess cost but according to MarvelGirl it doesn't cost $25......but he has to ship it to whoever wants it which can cost as much as $5.00-$7.00 depends on the world location...I don't know...I think he and others are trying to help ppl who can't do it theirself....as forat does....forat just do it for way more...
