which came first, version 2.14 or the 60mkII? my guess is the mkII, but anyone know for sure?

The Mk II came first. Any Mk I with SCSI will probably have 3.10 unless for some odd reason somebody took the eprom chips out of a mk II which is a possibility. Just make sure it is not a RS-xxxx connector. They came standard on Mk I 60s

Yeah too many people think the connector means scsi.

how can you tell this? and why would someone have the connector and not the full SCSI interface? how many pieces are there to the SCSI upgrade?

did you guys buy yours straight from the linn site? is that the only way to get this upgrade? in other words, can you buy the upgrade used somewhere? or are you just stuck with tryin' to find one already installed on a whole different unit?

elmacaco wrote:nah, it's 60 related, we have different rules here cuz few newbies come by. A few cats post beats here, a few cats put links to MPC's for sale when people here say they are looking, and there's even some OT stuff here once in a while.

Shhhhhhh!!

El, you are a damn fool!!!!!! I'm lovin the pics... sorry for postin the eBay auctions, but I read soooo many posts in this forum of people lookin for 60's, I though I'd try and help out a little.

BTW - I look for deals on used MPC's (mostly 60's and 3000's) all the time, so be sure to check out the 'For Sale' forum. I'll post what I find there.
