Disk Read error on Start up.

I just replaced the floppy drive in the MPC2000 for a coworker. On start up it says disk read error. and doesn't let me do anything or access anything.
Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe your disk is bad. A new drive is still not going to be able to read a bad disk.

Maybe you have a bad file on a good disk.

try loading the mpc w/o the disk amd after its done loading then put in ur disk.


this problem happens to me whenever i dont have a cd in my multitrack cd reader. I have no expanation for why it does this, but it does fix the problem.
