I had this weird bug last time i played around with my mpc1000 , i was making this beat on the mpc , kicks , hihats , snare etc..
The beat was looping no problem .
Then i decided to add a hoover from my synth via midi, so i set up the track to midi etc.. record the track and what do i notice?
When the midi track is active i get a gap at the end of my beat-loop , added , not subtracted and whenever i mute the track , the gap is gone.
Very strange.

I don't know if this issue is similar but I did notice that if I was off on my 'note off' (i.e: didn't let go of the key at the end of the sequence) that I would have an added synth segment on the next loop of the sequence.

I would recommend recording the synth part again and make sure that you let go of the key just before the end of the sequence to see if that solves it.

I think that funny things happen to your MIDI track if you do not note-off before the end of the sequence when recording. I don't necessarily think this is a bug but a nice 'feature' for the MPC would be to auto-note-off at the end of a recorded MIDI sequence.

No , it's like de sequencer freezes for a few milliseconds at the end of the bar.
What you are saying isn't really a bug , it's just bad keyboard playing :D .

"When the midi track is active i get a gap at the end of my beat-loop , "

Do you look in Step Edit to see what is there? It actually sounds like you may have inadvertently picked up a Sysex string. The MPC1000 has had some problems with playing back sysex and has the same symptoms you describe.

I would not call this a bug until someone else re-creates it or you send the Seq file to someone for confirmation.

That's why I use sequencers

Hehe siliconmonk.

Yeah it could be a sysex problem cause i was tweaking my filter knobs while recording , i haven't saved the project so i can't check the step edit.
What i did notice in the step edit is that i get an awfull lot of channel pressure lines, makes it hard to do stuff in step edit (having 12 "channel pressure" lines per note).

yall should set your midi filter to reject sysex and channel pressure if your controller sends it and you don;t use it. It will clog up the midi stream, and you really don;t need it 99% of the time.
