which side goes up? is it an easy fit or do you have to apply a bit of pressure?

on some kinds of cards there is a sort of groove that goes along the side...that groove has to fit into the reader in order for the card to go in. if the card is the correct side up but the grooe isnt matched up the card wont go in.

so it could be that, or you might just have it upside down.

ah, and when you have it right, no it does not need much pressure at all

Smart media cards need a little bit of pressure. Not much, but you have to push a bit...

They can only go in in one way. There is a groove/edge on one end of the card, which must be orientated downwards.
