cannot boot anymore

hi
i've got a very big problem. i have the mpc 2000 (not xl), with a scsi-zip-drive, but i'm not able to boot the mpc.
does someone of you have an operating system for me, or can you give me some hints what else i can do, because the version1.72 (www.akaipro.com) doesn't work on my mpc.
if i boot with those files, the mpc only shows "scsi read error"
in the past it worked, so it's not a problem of the zip-drive or disk
