whats a good bpm speed for rap?

i love 80-89 but i'm tryin to switch it up lately to 90's

simcity:how you quantize it, to how the sample comes in. If you're beats are sounding to slow and they are actually not, there are ways to make em sound faster.

yeah i notice that on some beats of mine that when i take the hihat away it sounds slower, but adding the hats back picks it back up

75 - 85

if you have diferent seqs for the verse/intro/outro, vary the speed a bit from one to the next for more variety too..

i normally use 90 but vary between 80 to 100.

73 - 160 bpm

I set my 2kxl default at 79 bpm.

is there a way to default bpm on the 1k?

I rock anywhere from 92 to 106. But... i make the beat at double bpm setting and create at half that speed. So, if the beat is gonna be 92bpm i'll make that joint at 184 on the mpc (which i think EMFinite is talkin bout).

I've just been doing that for about the last 2 months or so since cats on here started talking about better resolution at this setting. Improved it somewhat, i think hearing a faster metronome has helped my beats be a little more hype.

Test yourself always and see what your'e style is, don't be like everyone else or you'll get lost in the crowd. That could also apply to life in general.

dont sleep on the double time beats w bpms in the 50-70 range

if im looping something and i dont need to timestrech whatever bpm the sample tells me too, or 70-100 somewhere in there.


but on the real whats up with the doubling bpms ive thought about it but i guess ill take a crack at it later?
