how can u record with a metronome when u have a guitar hooked up to ur mpc of keys?

because when i've tried it i can record but u just record in the sampling part of the mpc not just like in a sequence.

oh i see what your sayin...im not sure...

only thing i could think of, some software have metronomes on them. like fruity loops. set the tempo in fruity loops, and just press record in F.L. and play the guitar to the metronome in fruity loops while your recording on the mpc?

i know you probably wanna do everything inside the mpc, but thats all i can think of

i heard some guitars have midi outputs (i dont know how) but i've heard...

good luck

i'm not sure about the 2klx but on my 1k when you go into record mode you can press start before you start recording. you won't get the metronome this way but you can hear the beat you made and play along with that. same thing as having a metronome or you could prgm a drum hit and use it as your metronome.

That's a good idea. Just sample a metronome sound and program it. Erase or mute it when your done.

so how do you record keys or other instruments in the mpc, can u only record it in the sample mode?

you can only get AUDIO into the MPC by sampling or importing samples, otherwise..........................

midi

What you can do is program hats on every fourth to go along with the sequencer's metronome then press play while in record mode. But if the mpc your using does not do that then you can just use an external guitar metronome.

this was one big problem i had with my 2000xl which is why i don't use it in my setup. It is a real annoying thing not being able to sample with a metronome or not being able to sample while the sequence is playing.
