i have a data disk with samples on it but i dont know what program to use to get them off the disk properly. Nero wont let me do it said it had to be 4 seconds long and i tried windows media player but when i tried to sample to my mcp2000xl from a cd player it has a lot of static which has never happened before. so is their a program to get the samples off the data disc without loosing quality????

Sounds like you might want a way to copy the files frrom the cd to another device/media that you can connect/use in your mpc. Alla zip, floppy, compact flash, etc. If you have a zip drive in your mpc, maybe look at spending $10 or so on a zip drive for your pc.
