you have to assign the fx to the pad and raise te level in the mixer screen.

so that I don't waste a new thread, I'm interested in finding out your opinions on the efx board for the mpc.. Im always in need of a reverb or delay of some sort. I'd like to be able to use the effects before I go to the computer but is it worth purchasing the efx board or should I just wait until my music is in the computer to add efx?? how much does it cost? How many effects does it offer? thanks in advance.

ps - seriously, thanks to all the people who take their time to answer questions for the beginners.. sometimes the manual just doesn't explain like one of yall can. respect

Besides maxing out your memory, I think the effects board is the next step. You can alter sounds at the source and not have to wait until you dump the sounds into an editing program. The eb 16 comes with a distortion, echo, filter, reverb and one other effect, the name escapes me, which are all individually assignable and can be internally manipulated. Since I installed the effects board, my beats and sounds have gone to a whole new level.

No, I'd rather you started a new thread please - it's better to have a thread for each question, rather than hijacking someone else's question. This way, other users can find what they want quicker and dont get confused with all the different replies! :D
