I was wondering which of the stand alone samplers that akai has produced has the same guts as the sampler in the Mpc 3000?
I heard it was the s3000, but would that include the s3000xl?
What I was thinking of doing since I already own a 4000 was getting the s3000 or s3000xl, if they had the same guts and sound, and just slaving it to the Mpc 4000 to emulate the Mpc 3000.
So my question is: Are there anyway features or usefull charectoristics of the Mpc 3000 that I would be missing out on by doing this including such things as the systems logic, working method based on layout, velocity sensitivity, most importantly the sound, or anything else you guys can think of? Because I know there are major benifits to simplicity.
Oh and just to extend the question of what s series sampler is in an Mpc... What is the internal sampler that is in the Mpc 60?
Thanks!
