Well, there is one thing that is crystal clear. There are an abundance of haterz on this forum. It's funny how people learn a few tricks on the MPC, and now they are the authority on what hip-hop should sound like. Some of the comments I have read in this post are just completely ridiculous.
Someone said that he didn't flip samples enough. Sometimes a sample should not be flipped!! Period. How many times have I heard some trash on this site where some herb tried to chop a loop and it sounded just horrible. If the beat sounds good who cares if he flipped it.
Somebody else said he should have stuck with an MPC and ASR. And someone else is objecting to him using help on his album. There is no one person out there who can do everything. Even the all time greats get help on their projects. That's just the way it is. Yall forget that "Reminsice", arguable one of the best hip-hop songs ever was an assist (from what I hear, the Large Proffesor gave Pete Rock the sample if you did not know). Does this make "Reminisce" any less of a great song? NO!!
This album is tight period, it IS hip-hop at it's purest form. Do you people actually listen to music? I don't believe many of you are. If you did you would see that Kanye gave us an album that is A. tight musically, B. real hiphop music, C. drops some knowledge on a few tracks if you actually listen. I could understand if you are just not feelin his style, but to say that dude has no talent is bull****. I can only sum this up to being hate. It kills yall that many of yall bang on your MPC every night, chop your samples to mince meat, are key-style champion on your forum, and unfortunately for you, you will NEVER attain what Kanye has, or even get a record deal. NEVER (even though you got Jon blaze shit) EVER!!!
