Heya..
now i've had my MPC for about 5 years (give or take) and know it pretty well. But i've posted this question in the newbie forum cause it seems like a question that people new to the machine might ask.. i couldnt find any other similar topics after searching either.
Ok.. after ive got my sequences.. say 20 of them.. i wanna arrange them in song mode.. some sequences have differnt tracks muted etc..
Now after i create the song, i get a few problems like, the sound levels appear to be differnt from the originall sequence's. So when i listen to the song the bass of say sequence 12 is too low. But when i go to sequence 12 (the original sequence) the bass is nice and loud and perfect but after conversion its differnt.
The other problem i get is say a track missing. For instance when the bass is supposed to drop its missing in song mode. But when i go back to check the original sequence its there.. its not muted or anything.. its perfect.
ive tried creating the song with the settings varied like "referenced to 1st seq." or "off tracks ignored" and it dosnt seem to help but i have done the 3rd option (which is "mix to midi channel" or something) and this 3rd option does fix the problem of the missing track .. so the bass comes in, where before it was missing.. but the downside is the whole overall song has lost punch.. in that i mean if i've gone in and increased the volume of say the drums in some tracks and reduced them in others ..well when i convert to song mode the volume's are unaffected..but when i go back and check the actual changes in the sequences they are how i want them.
Has anybody had any probs like this or can help.. sorry it s a long winded question.. its hard to explain.. but dammit its buggin me..
