I knwo this is lsightly off topic but check it.. I wanna tell you all a story.

Aight so i buy a BRAND NEW (used) MV-8000 purchased for $1500. I sitll ahev teh everything, the reiept n everything no doubt. So I goto the store n get my credit for the MV. Now they are getting the 2500's in a few weeks. So ima pick up one with my store credit and buy some more shit, cuz Ima have mad left overs on teh credit.. Good Deal huh?

That doesn't mean the MPC2500 costs only $1,500. It's going to be $2,000 + tax, and that price doesn't even include the accessories. Figure $2,500 by the time you're done.

What are you saying exactly? You bought an MV-8000 for $1,500 and you returned it for a store credit of $1,500. That doesn't mean the MPC2500 is $1,500.

It was an excellent deal. But save your money and wait a few months. AKAI always releases MPCs with QC problems in the beginning. The early MPC1000 owners can tell you how they got burned. Let AKAI get the bugs out of their first production run, then buy the machine.
