Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Hi im new to this site, i have manged to get an mpc 2000xl after waiting for a long time. I have loads of samples on my computer and I wanted to put these samples onto cd so I can load them into my mpc. I know you need a scsi cd rom drive to do this, I just wanted to know what type of scsi connection is needed on the back of the cd rom drive. My friend was telling me that there are 3 different types of scsi connection.

Depends on your SCSI CD drive. The 2000XL has a 50HD connection (classic 2000 has DB25). Zip drives are also DB25 pin. Just depends on what your CD drive takes.

Also, I've never used an SCSI CD drive so I don't know if one type of connection is more common than another on them. If you can't figure it out, take a photo and post it up and we'll be able to tell you what you need.

Peace!

Search google if what I posted above isn't sufficient. There's not alot of info that I could see on these forums.

I and most of my friends use Hewlett packard scsi drives and Plextor scsi drives. The models, I don't remember exactly but they are not new at all. My scsi cdrom is also a older type plextor.
