whats wrong with my 60II? help please!

after being on for about 30 min or so, my 60s screen goes blank and the "disk" light comes on.
any ideas?
i need her up and running asap...as of right now im almost too afraid to try to work with b/c its liable to fu#k up before I can save.

You may have a problem similar to my 60 (which by the way is still in the tech after 3 weeks).I believe it has to do with , the power supply of the LCD or with the cable ribbon that goes from the placket to the LCD - maybe a cable can't connect well or somethin like that- , or your problem is like mine (it's the worst).

yeah it;s a power supply problem, either the ribbon connectors from the power supply are corroded or somehow not making good contact or your fuses could be failing, the heat just makes certain parts expand and messes with the connection to the Power supply. You should go to a tech or if you know how to solder you could take a look at it yourself.

Schematics are available at the 60 yahoo group files section.

It tends to be the ribbon connectors on the power supply distribution board, should be at the back right with a big old heat sink on the back.
