hi everybody, i´m a new and proud owner of a mpc 2000 xl and face a lot of problems now. first of all the mpc is more difficult then i thought.
the scsi communication haunts me in my dreams and after one week i still can´t use the slider.
maybe i should read the manual.
but there is one big question:
is there a good editor program for pc?
where do i get it?
is it expensive?

To use the slider press "SHIFT + AFTER" press the pad that you wanna tweek and slide away "Pg. 19 of the manual" As for the editing program, there are many editing programs available for your PC that are different prices, just choose the one that fits your budget or if youre comfortable with saving up to get an expensive one, by all means do. You can get them from music stores ie: Guitar Center, etc, even Bust Buy gots some LOL, or you can do a search online. Remember, its not what equipment you have but how you use it. Happy beat making...peace 8)

Go to www.midicase.com probably one of the best investments you can make for your mpc...and cheap too-$30....another good program is cool edit pro.....also make sure you have a zip drive as well.....and in case you didnt know-the mpc doesnt do scsi transfers at all.....
