Akai should SERIOUSLY bother on sorting out it's product range strategy rather than jerking on colors otherwise it will go bust a second time, and this time no takeovers to fix the crumbles left by soft synths and the likes.
Come on, have we seen anything exciting in 12 months from Akai ? Zilch, zero, nada apart from a few boring updates...
Why doesn't Akai team up with Native Instruments or Ableton and deliver seriously innovative hardware ?!
I hear what you're saying, but keep in mind that the new OS will fully support the hard drives that have been tested and may have a few extra features. But anyway, as far as competition is concerned, may the best man win. There's no telling who may come up ahead of Akai. Personally, I'd like to see what Roger Linn has in store for the future. The last interview I saw of him particularly caught my interest, but only time will tell.
yeah I did not realize how much of an improvement the color change on th side panels did. hell if the kit cost too much, i am going to bite on your sh#t metaphor! Too bad forest green doesnt go well that dark blue.
