I just bought a S900 sampler and I don't have anything else. I'm just gradually collecting my equipment. I got a old turntable but it only has phono outs so the sound quality will suck. I'm going to get a new turntable and i'm going to get an akai mpd 16 to control the s900. Here my situation. I want to have my drums loaded into my s900 then i want to sequence them with midi uses a computer sequencer then i want the sound to come out of the s900 and go into my friends tape recorder. the s900 has midi in, out, thru. How can i connect all of this: turntable, s900, mpd16, computer, speakers, tape recorder?

Thanks

MPD16 MIDI OUT - computer MIDI IN

computer MIDI OUT - S900 MIDI IN

depending on your turntable, your probably going to have to run it through an amp or dj mixer to ground it and boost the signal. but you want the output from either your record player, amp or dj mixer connected to your S900 audio input.

S900 stereo output into your tape deck.

tape output - amp input.

speakers... connect them to your amplifier. if you couldnt work out where to connect your speakers, your gonna have a bad time.

do you have an amplifier?
