Recording in mono vs. stereo

I don't have a mixer, I MIGHT get one in a couple weeks.

I wanted to know do people prefer mono recordings or stereo recordings?

My triton into one input on the Mbox, the Mpc in the other input.

Would i get a "full" sound?

If you have a stereo sound you are sampling, will u get a FULL sound if you only record one side. ie, sounds moving from left to right.

A mixer, get one with at least 2 channel ins.
triton in line 1 left/right
mpc in line 2 left/right.
mixer out to mbox.

done.

full stereo sound all around.
