that's exactly what the bug is about, it would play the entire loop with an extra flavour when it shoul only play a very very short sound...

did you watch my video? if you did, did i go through the steps the right way?

I only tried this glitch last night, but that was after you made the video. I'll view it again and see if you missed anything. But for now, I gotta run to the store and get some cold medicine.

sparq, i see you increased the end point to like 100+ when it should
be used with values like 1-20. if you want to make sure you did it correctly,
maybe this'll help:

1. load sample
2. make start point to 0, end point to 7 (thats what i use mostly)
3. switch the loop to on (on loop tab on trim screen)
4. go to program
5. put the sample on a pad
6. switch to note on
7. if needed raise the tune on the sample (the wider the value between
start and end points, the more you have to increase the tune)

see if that works for you.

Image i'll try it when i get home. if it works, i'll do a video on it and post it.

Sparq started by setting the end point at 8. He did everything right....
It's not necessary to place the sample in PROGRAM to test it, it should be audible in TRIM mode. Selecting a sample in PROGRAM doesn't change the core sample.

I'm afraid Sparq's right, Akai has (unconsciously?) overwritten the sample/loop engine.

It's too bad cause it was a great 'bug' that wasn't irritating for anybody who wasn't bothered with the glitch (hardly anybody uses a 0.01 second loop anyway) and it was great for those who wanted to experiment with it.

Well thank you Penfold
I went back to the graveyard this morning to take another pic by daylight.
It's hard losing a 'bug' you love so much...sniff

yeah like i said before i'm sure it doesent work on the new OS, but
it would've been cool to see it not working on the program mode
(just to make sure). im almost certain it won't help anything..
i guess akai was thinking something like, "we can't have a bug in our
new OS, how does that look like?" or they just accidentaly overwrote
it with the 2.0. anyways, it sure is a shame :(

I like to have it in an MPC. But thanks for the EPS tip, biatch

EPS was where i figured it out. confused the hell out of me the first time i noticed it! i thought i was going back in time or something - "wait a minute! i sampled that 2 WEEKS AGO!!! WTF?!?!?!?!?!" haha

i think my s3000xl does it too, in which case an s2000 would likely do it as well
