Just got scsi cable but now the xl gets frozen

Hey guys i just got a scsi cable and every thing fits to the zip drive but now when i want to save i go to switch from floppy to scsi and freezes and tells me to wait. I have waited for a half an hour and still nothing it just says to WAIT. Any help would be great!!! Thanks guys.

are you sure got the scsi ID set correctly?

THere are a million threads about this but i'm not gonna give you hard time.Check it,make sure you have a scsi drive and not a parallel.THe drive you have does it have a id and termination switch?
