if i lived in a place where i didn't already have peace of mind, i'd save my money, not buy all kinds of fancy firearms/audio equipment and MOVE SOMEPLACE ELSE.

the only time i'd ever consider buying a cap gun is if uncle sam tried to draft me. then we'd see who wants who...

with all due respect homie...lets not take this thread there....i don't want to discuss whether or not people should be allowed to have guns...but picking up and moving away from friends, family, and where you grew up is a lot easier said than done...buying audio equipment is much cheaper than relocating, which is besides the point b/c we don't even know where dude lives anyway...

location is only one of the reasons people may have guns, my parents live in a great neighborhood now but my pops still has mad firearms...he grew up in Colombia and it was no joke...that $hit you hear about Guerillas is TRUE...he always had guns and just b/c he doesn't live there anymore doesn't mean he shouldn't have them anymore

not sure if you follow me....guess this is just a long winded way of saying look at it from the other side b/c its easy to say what you WOULD DO and what you WOULD NEVER DO

i'm not hating...but think outside the coffee shop

talking $hit and joking is one thing (forums are great for that) but i think its lame to jump and critisize someone who you know nothing about...not to mention it was only his fourth post, you have no idea what dude is about

The Mic is a trial thing for me, the guitar center dude said that it had "excellent" frequency responce. I'm gonna swap it out for a groove tube.

If i were you i'd get some monitors that go lower than 53hz & put them on some stands. Those lil KRK's dont' hit low enough for me. I do keep a pair of them around to A/B my mixes so i'll know if the low end will translate.

Thanks buddy. I don't condone any violence in any manor. I am just a true beliver in freedom of exression. No offence intended. I only use s&w at the range, but the heat coming from the 1000 is what people should be worried about. BTW, how do we get that new o.s. when it arrives, cause I just bought my 1k a couple of weeks back, will they offer it on akai pro?
And as far as the dual tier stand, it works amazingly well, and the mbox 2, Its cool, but Im getting tired of switching back and foward between the audio cables to record in my vocals and instruments. I only track loops in one by one and arrange them in protools.

my apologies if i came off condescending, i wastrying to make a long point in just a few lighthearted lines and ended sounding rude.

this will definitely be my last post on the matter, because i agree, it's off topic and hard to get into without being read as impolite.

i'm just thinking outside both coffee shop (clever clever) more importantly, outside hoodassgangsterpimp crib. please don't take my comments as an attack on your production skills/personality/life choices, etc etc etc.

however, if guns are prominantly displayed in posted pics of 1, your studio and/or 2, your sig, i think it's hard to claim you don't condone violence in any way. it's being used as a part of the few images of your home/self that you're allowing us to see. that's like showing us a picture of your kitchen saying you don't support cooking (?).

here's a parallel that might put my opinion into perspective. i house sat for my old boss a couple years ago. he's from some old punk band that was pretty popular, long unrelated story. but he's a pretty conservative guy, as i eventually discovered. in his house, prominantly displayed (PROMINANTLY!), is a framed certificate officially claiming him to be the descendant of a long-dead confederate soldier.

while he claims that he doesn't support what they were fighting for, he still was mighty proud of that piece of paper. i just didn't get it - i guess that whole "heritage not hate" thing just goes right over my head. granted, the certificate also won't shoot an intruder dead, but you see what i'm saying.

anyway the gun thing strikes me in a somewhat similar way - i don't know you guys at all beyond this board and your music, so take these comments as just an observation from a very 3rd party.

blaccteezy, i clicked on your myspace and the first beat that played had a really nice synthline in it. nice work, man, and nice pics. keep it up.

o ok... sounds good. dont want to discuss it, thats cool.

point taken, but i meant more along the lines of the back-and-forth-e-beef style post

i see what your saying Ant...again i wasn't hating on you...you just came off kind of judgemental

but back to MPCs

teezy...we're expecting the OS to be available via DL from the akai website when it becomes available

it has been predicted that if it doesn't come out within a month, a forum member by the name of Capshun will punch a baby...real talk

Good lookin out. Im trying to convince my partner to trash his 2k and get the 1k. He's still using a floppy!?! I don't know. But anyway, with that new os, I dont belive that the big slabs will be around much longer. I bet that akai will soon discontinue everything but and focus mainly on the 1k and the 2500, like apple did the ipod.
